AMANDA NAVAI, the Dubai based brand made its debut in Harper’s Bazaar Arabia in May 2010 when it was dubbed “The Universe of Python”. In the same month AMANDA NAVAI was the first homegrown accessories brand to launch in Bloomingdale’s Dubai Mall. The collection took the market by storm and was sold out within a week’s time, and the brand is currently embarking on its 19th consecutive season in the department store.

Today, eight years later, the brand is available at the most luxurious stores in the region such as Saks Fifth Avenue Bahrain, Robinson's Dubai and Riyadh, Tryano Abu Dhabi , Harvey Nichols Dubai and Bloomingdale's Dubai and Kuwait. Driven by the mission to be apart of a regional movement, AMANDA NAVAI stands to inspire homegrown talents to have the mentality and commitment to reach their vision.

The brand was launched with a seed investment of five thousand usd and has since grown organically to stay true to the story of “anyone can do it”. While always breaking barriers, the brand was the first Dubai based designer to exhibit at the Paris Fashion Week in 2011 and the Saatchi Gallery in London in 2013. AMANDA NAVAI was also the first regional designer to have a solo window display at Saks Fifth Avenue and Harvey Nichols and was the only product focus selected for Tryano’s launching advertising campaign amongst international super brands in 2015.

Innovative designs with heritage roots is one of key DNA of the brand. In 2016, inspired by Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian’s story, one of Iran’s most celebrated artists, as much as by her geometric patterns and mirrors, it took over a year to get her tribute bag collection right.
The use of mirrors was incorporated into bags and mixed with so many different materials such as brass, wood, enamel and leathers.

In 2017, the brand collaborated with Lebanon jewellery house Selim Mouzannar, to create the Elizabeth clutch exclusively for the launch of Bloomingdale’s Kuwait. The frame is of wood and brass features genuine Japanese pearls while the brand’s lions sit Sphinx-like with 14 karats of genuine icy grey diamonds, 598 diamonds individually inserted.

The multipurpose bag has two color options to wear and has become a brand classic for its revolutionary approach that allows a smooth transition from work to happy hour.

Made with the utmost precision and care, every bag is handmade and transformed under the same roof and hands to ensure quality control. From the leather that is individually inspected and handpicked to avoid blemishes, to the lambskin interior lining of the bags, delicate craftsmanship is visible. All bags are created with semi-precious 18k gold-plated brass metal, juxtaposed against pieces of exotic leather skin and marked with a lion insignia that represents strength, a brand symbol that transcends into every collection.
